Hexa single crystal structure

The parent HBC as purifled by sublimation is a yellow microcrystalline solid [35]. A single crystal of HBC has been grown from molten pyrene using mesity-lene as a flux [41]. Single-crystal structure revealed that HBC crystallized in a y motif with the planar discs stacked in a tilted column. The single crystal structure of hexa-fert-butyl substituted HBC, however, displays a sandwich-herringbone stacking due to the bulky substituents [42].

Hexafluorobut-2-yne also reacts with Au(PPh,)Me to give the dinuclear complex (153), the structure of which is established by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study. With Au(PMe2Ph)Me, hexa luorobut-2-yne rapidly gives Au(PMe2Ph)Me 2C4F, for which the structure (154) is... 

The Raman spectra of the spacer-related compounds TMB, HMB, OMB, and DMB have also been examined. The crystal structures of hexa- and decamethonimn bromides [7] were elucidated by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, which showed that the molecular chain, which included the two nitrogen atoms and one CH3 carbon atom of the terminal N(CH2>3 groups, was in a fully extended form. Thus, the methonium bromide chains should provide evidence for the accordion vibrational bands.
