Heterocarborane main group

Syntheses, Structures, Bonding, and Reactivity of Main Group Heterocarboranes... [Pg.99]

This review covers the research on the main group (groups 2 and 13-16) heterocarboranes published since 1982. Earlier work is discussed only as background to current results or for purposes of comparison. There are several monographs (1-3) and a number of reviews (4-6b) that adequately cover the earlier literature. Recent advances in the research of main group metallacarboranes containing groups 13 and 14 metals and/or metalloids have also been reviewed (7). [Pg.99]

Of all the main group heterocarboranes, those of group 16 are the least studied. Todd reviewed these compounds in 1982 (4), and no subsequent work has appeared. Therefore, the reader is referred to Ref. 4 for a discussion of the group 16 heterocarboranes and the pertinent literature citations. [Pg.147]

We thank the National Science Foundation, the Robert A. Welch Foundation, and the donors of the Petroleum Research Fund, administered by the American Chemical Society, for support of our ongoing research in the area of main group heterocarborane chemistry. [Pg.147]
