Integration between processes can reduce waste heat. It can be performed either by pinch analysis or by mixed integer nonlinear programming, MINLP. 

Equation (3) was integrated numerically to obtain the enthalpy. The model was determined by fitting to the selected values with a nonlinear least-squares program. The vector of residuals was calculated using the numerical integration of equation (3) to obtain the enthalpy increments.
