Specific Rec.temps. Temp Heat Amount of water [Pg.179]

The amount of heat energy per gram of thermoplastics material can be calculated using the following formula  [Pg.179]

To calculate the amount of fluid required to cool one gram of the thermoplastics material from it s melt temperature to the mold temperature, it is necessary to equate the heat input in J/g to the heat removed by the cooling medium in c.c s. [Pg.179]

The heat removed by the cooling medium is related to the specific heat, the maximum tolerable temperature change and the flow rate of the cooling medium. [Pg.179]

For heat removal purposes the maximum change in temperature is 4°C (7.2° F). [Pg.179]
