Head and neck neoplasms

Because many of the neoplasms derived from these tissues are discussed elsewhere in this book, this chapter includes only lesions that either are commonly encountered in the head and neck or are unique to this region. The discussion focuses heavily on lesions in which immu-nohistochemistry and molecular workup may be useful for establishing the diagnosis or for providing additional prognostic-predictive information. It is not intended to be a compendium of all head and neck neoplasms. [Pg.256]
