Hallberg s Benchmark Demonstration

2 Representative Substrates for Chelation-Controlled Mizoroki-Heck Reactions [Pg.260]

Allylic alcohols and amines are typical substrates that bear directing heteroatoms within the main substrate structure. Under suitable conditions, oxygen and nitrogen atoms in allylic alcohols and amines participate in the Mizoroki-Heck reaction through O—Pd or N—Pd coordination, bringing about some chelation effect in the outcome of reactions. [Pg.260]

Hallberg s group deliberately introduced y6-amino tethers for the /3-selective arylation of vinyl ethers. They further extended this system to chiral substrates for diastereoselec-tive arylation processes. Similar to their systems, Badone introduced /3-phosphino tethers for the /3-selective arylation of vinyl ethers. Tamaru has reported carbamate directing [Pg.260]
