H-N SiMe

Me3C)2Si—N —SiMe(CMe3)2 —jt (Me3C)2Si N SiMe(CMe3)2 F H ... [Pg.168]

Bi N(SiMe )2 3 can also be prepared in similar yields from Na[N(SiMc3)2] and BiCl3 in toluene. After removal of all volatiles under vacuum, the product is extracted into hexanes and filtered to remove NaCl. A yellow solid is obtained after removal of the solvent from the filtrate. Na[N(SiMe3)2] is typically prepared as follows NaH (60% dispersion in oil, 0.72 g, 18.0 mmol) is washed with hexanes (3x5 mL), dried under vacuum and suspended in toluene. HN(SiMe3)a (3.8 mL, 2.91 g, 18.0 mmol) is added and the mixture heated under reflux for 18 h. The hot solution is filtered through a sintered glass filter and the solvent removed under vacuum from the colourless filtrate to give a colourless solid (2.36 g, 72%). [Pg.101]
