Gravure reverse offset

The coat weights are critical for fhe release properties of the liner. They are typically in the 0.7 to 1.0 g/m range and are applied most frequently by multiroll reverse coating systems or by offset gravure rolls. 

Whether the coating process is direct, reverse, or offset gravure, it is imperative that the quaiity of the doctor biade is high enough to minimize wear as excess coating materiai is transferred around the metering and appiicator roiis. Composite substrate doctor biades positioned in a chisel mode are recommended to start the correct coating iay-down for adhesion to the substrate.
