Graphite-epoxy electrodes

Carbon paste and graphite epoxy electrodes modified with RUO2 can be used for detection of amino acids and peptides in F1A systems. Optimal conditions are in strongly alkaline solutions at +0.45 V vs Ag/AgCl electrode, with a fast and linear response. Carbon paste electrodes can be modified also with C03O4371. Colorimetric methods for the determination of amino groups attached to a solid support may give erroneous values... [Pg.1105]

Figure 7.3 represents the stripping curves and the corresponding calibration plot (inset) for lead obtained for a iacc of 60 s and a 7strip of 1 pA. Each point in the calibration curve corresponds to the mean of three parallel measurements performed consecutively in the same cell without polishing the electrode. The error bars are the standard deviations of these measurements. Possible changes of graphite-epoxy electrode surface in contact with solution should have the effect of repeatability of the response. A DL of approximately 200 ppb of lead was determined... [Pg.148]

Several electrodes are used for the direct determination of pharmaceuticals. For example, an electrode is prepared using a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) membrane and bis(2-ethylhexyl)sebacate has been applied to tetracyclines in pharmaceutical formulations. The system has also been used to obtain the dissolution profile of some tetracycline formulations. A membrane for the determination of dopamine was synthesized using a CuS04-poly(ethylene-co-vinyl acetate) mixture in tetrahydrofuran, and the resulting solution was dropped into a tubular graphite-epoxy electrode. The drug was oxidized by Cu(II) immobilized on the membrane. [Pg.1311]
