Gmelin Registry Number

Au(ni)-Hal-Cu(ll) moieties are precedented in the literature. For example, a copper(n) chloroaurate(III) complex with a Au(III)-Hal-Cu(n) unit is formed by the neutralization of HAuCU with CuCOj. and has been characterized (GMELIN registry number 177659). Additionally, a withdrawal of electron density from Au(in) by Cu(ll) makes the Au(III)-NOs ionic bond stronger, resulting in a less favourable ligand substitution of nitrate by CEESO, and consequently less product inhibition. 

Each document of the database corresponds to one compound. A compound with different modifications, state of matter and isotopes contained under separate documents. Thus numerous compounds are related to several documents at the same time, e.g. cobalt 24 and nickel 31. The tabular format IDETAB is suitable for checking the desired compound. It contains the document number, Gmelin Registry Number, molecular formula, chemical names, modification and state of matter for all searchable substances under the form of a table (Fig. 161). This format is free of charge.

Fact files mostly include a great number of single fields which are non-text fields but often containing numeric, such as physical and thermodynamic data of compounds. Fact files are for instance Registry File, Beilstein and Gmelin as well as Specinfo. Some numeric databases - special kind of fact files - even allow calculations to be made, e.g. in Inorganic Crystal Structure Data.
