Gmelin, Johann Friedrich

Johann Friedrich Gmelin, 1748-1804. Father of Leopold Gmelm. Professor of chemistry at Tubingen and Gotbngen Famous chemical historian. His remarkable Geschichte der Chemie was published in 1797-99. [Pg.568]

Leopold Gmelin, 1788-1853. Professor of chemistry and medicine at Heidelberg. First author of the Handbuch der anorgamschen Chemie.
