Glycyl-L-histidylglycine

The evaluation of the results of such studies may be facilitated considerably if the compositions and stability conditions of the species in solution is also determined by means of equilibrium measurements. This is shown well by the investigations of Osterberg and Sjoberg [Os 68], who utilized equilibrium data, based on electromotive force measurements, to establish the compositions of the complexes formed between glycyl-L-histidylglycine and the copper (II) ion in solution they then prepared some complexes in the solid state, and compared the results of X-ray structural studies on the solid single crystals with the results of solution X-ray structural studies and with potentiometric equilibrium measurement data. In this way they obtained a reliable picture of the system in solution. [Pg.162]
