Glutathione methionine sulfoximine

SELECTIVE INHIBITION OF THE SYNTHESIS OF GLUTAMINE AND GLUTATHIONE BY ANALOGS OF METHIONINE SULFOXIMINE... [Pg.97]

Compounds which inhibit the incorporation of cysteine into glutathione, such as methionine sulfoximine and o-glutamate, promote the evolution of H2S, suggesting that when cysteine-consuming processes are inhibited and the concentration of cysteine increases, sulfide is emitted as H2S (Rennenberg and Filner, 1982). Here again, a study of O-acetylserine synthesis under these conditions might yield some explanations. [Pg.372]
