Glue pot

Hot melt adhesive compositions are used among others to bond edgebands. During edgebanding, the hot melt adhesive is maintained in the molten state in the glue pot of the edgebanding apparatus for extended periods of time. Fillers are added to hot melt adhesive compositions in order to decrease the costs of the adhesive composition and to improve the break action, such that it provides a clean break from the roller during the application procedure (25). [Pg.202]

In essence we needed a molecular editing system a pair of molecular scissors that could cut the DNA text into manageable sections a kind of molecular glue pot that would allow us to manipulate those pieces and finally a molecular duplicating machine to amplify the pieces that we had cut out and isolated (pp. 87-88). [Pg.43]

Water Bath, or Bain-MArie. This arrangement is used whore the heat required is not < vor 212 Fob., and consists of one vessel within another, secured so that they cannot come in contact at any point below the level of the water which has been introduced to fill up the space between them. A double glue-pot is a water bath. [Pg.221]

The gluing roll applies the hot melt on the edge of the panel, at some 150 g/m (because the sides of the panels expose the fibres and consequently absorb the adhesive), and immediately after, the panel picks up the edge strip with the help of the tack of the adhesive. The distance between the gluing roll and the application of the strips is only a few centimetres so that the adhesive is almost at the same temperature as in the glue pot. [Pg.129]

These systems may apply a line or a bead of adhesive on a flat surface. Some packaging machines use a glue pot which feeds the adhesive to a blade or disc or small roll. [Pg.149]

Traditional glue-pot outer vessel. Inner one has unfortunately not survived. [Pg.5]
