Synthesis glucuronic acid conjugates

Chemical methods for the synthesis of glucuronic acid conjugates of 0-, S-, N- and C-aglycones were most recently reviewed by Keglevlc (7 ). Both direct and Indirect methods are available for synthesis of glucuronic acid conjugates. 

The derivatized conjugate Is commonly purified by chromatographic procedures before It Is deprotected by alkaline hydrolysis at +4°C or room temperature (4,7,10,12). The synthesis of a selected number of derivatized and deprotected glucuronic acid conjugates of xenoblotlcs are summarized In Table 1.
