The enzyme shows a preference for longer chains of 0-1,3-glucose oligosaccharides and it seems likely that binding and rate of attack have not reached their maximum with substrates of CL 15-20 (95). The enzyme is highly specific, attacking only 0-1,3-linked glucans or the homomorphous 0-1,3-xylan (150).
