Glow discharge organometallic

Plasma polymers are deposited on surfaces in contact with a glow discharge of organic or organometallic monomers, in the form of a thin film and/or as a powder. Such films find applications as surface modifiers and in applications where the bulk properties of extremely thin films are desirable. [Pg.172]

The preparation and properties of glow-discharge polymerized or-ganotin films have been studied in the past(l) and such films have been used as insulating layers on microelectronic devices, as protective coatings, and as intermediate adhesive layers.(2,3) An up-to-date literature review on the production and properties of the organometallic films prepared by plasma polymerization has been reported by the authors in another paper.(4)... [Pg.533]

Organometallic compounds were used to fabricate semiconductive thin films on different substrates by glow discharge polymerisation [69]. Tetramethyltin (TMT) and diethylzinc (DEZ) were deposited on several substrates such as polypropylene, Sn02, quartz and glass. The physicochemical properties of the deposited films were characterised by FTIR, XPS, SEM and X-ray diffraction. [Pg.285]
