Geometry extraction

With respect to CO adsorption on neutral Aun clusters, our preliminary results show differences with previous calculations using cluster geometries extracted from the fee gold crystal. The adsorption energy of CO is minimum for the planar magic cluster Aue and shows maxima for the odd electron clusters Au5 and Au7, both with the CO absorbed on a bridge position, but the even-odd effect is not obtained for sizes larger than n=7.

Finally, the voxel model is flexible and can be tuned to provide the best representation of the heterogeneity of the reservoir. As mentioned in the automated geometry extraction step, this is achieved by comparing the size of the voxel with the size of 3D seismic facies. Yet when more than one type of... 

The extraction of characteristics contains the determination of properties and characteristics which describe the casting defect. Within this investigations three different groups of characteristics were determined which include information about the geometry, the distribution of gray values, and the contour of the defects (fig. 9). 

The mass-transfer coefficients depend on complex functions of diffii-sivity, viscosity, density, interfacial tension, and turbulence. Similarly, the mass-transfer area of the droplets depends on complex functions of viscosity, interfacial tension, density difference, extractor geometry, agitation intensity, agitator design, flow rates, and interfacial rag deposits. Only limited success has been achieved in correlating extractor performance with these basic principles. The lumped parameter deals directly with the ultimate design criterion, which is the height of an extraction tower.
