Geometric figures pyramid

Fire Tetrahedron A four-sided, solid geometric figure Uiat resembles a pyramid, with one of the sides forming the base. Each side indicates one of the tour elements required to have fire. [Pg.235]

Figure 9. Schematic reprsentation of a classical trajectory moving on the Si and So energy surfaces of the H2—(CH) -NHt trans cis photoisomerization, starting near the planar Franck-Condon geometry. The geometric coordinates are (a) torsion of the C2—C3 and C3 C4 bonds and (b) asymmetric stretching coupled with pyramidalization. Both Si and So intersect at a conical intersection (Si/S0 Cl) located near the minimum of the Si surface (Min-C ) where the C2C3C4N5 torsion angle is 104°. Tricoordinated atoms may also have two distinct geometric configurations, planar or pyramidal. Only one valence orbital remains, and it will be a pure p orbital in the planar case, hybridized in the pyramidal case. Both configurations for tricoordinated atoms are depicted in Figure 3.18. [Pg.59]

On the other hand the traditional "geometrical" representation (the right side of Figure 6) has the five boron atoms in the configuration of a square pyramid with all five of the boron atoms having an axially directed hydrogen... [Pg.188]

The compound (12) has six tin atoms arranged in octahedral geometry with an S4 axis of symmetry, (Figure 2.12.13). Considering the lone pair in the geometrical arrangement, both the axial and equatorial atoms are in five-coordinate square-based pyramidal geometries, and in contrast to other reported structures,no p,3-ONeoPent bonds are formed due to the steric bulk of ONeoPent. [Pg.264]
