Genetical modification of bacteria

The development of a new methods for hydrogenase production from industrially grown bacteria. The use of genetic modification of bacteria including overexpression of hydrogenase could significantly improve the yield of this enzyme. 

Transformation (neoplastic) The conversion of normal cells into tumor cells (see below). Frequently this is the result of a genetic change and the same term is used to describe the genetic modification of bacteria for biotechnological purposes.
