Generic feature

The generic features of these approaches are known from experience in anionic polymerization. However, radical polymerization brings some issues and some advantages. Combinations of strategies (a-d) are also known. Following star formation and with appropriate experimental design to ensure dormant chain end functionality is retained, the arms may be chain extended to give star block copolymers (321). In other cases the dormant functionality can be retained in the core in a manner that allows synthesis of mikto-arm stars (324). 

In 8CB, continued cooling into the smectic phase reveals the appearance of a broad ultra-low-frequency feature centred at around 10 cm where no other modes are seen. This is shown in Fig. 15. This feature appears to be unique to the smectic phase and has been tentatively attributed to intermolecular dipolar coupling across smectic layers [79]. In principle this should be a generic feature of smectics but it will be necessary to explore this issue through extensive computer simulations using realistic, shape-dependent potentials for...

There are a number of common generic features shared by most root cause methodologies, which are presented in Figure 4-2. 

The quantum tricks to realize high Tc superconductors are based on the generic feature of the electronic structure of the superlattices the presence of different subbands where the charge density associated with each subband is non homogenously distributed in the real space and single electron interband hopping is forbidden by symmetry.

Close to the crossover temperature Tc, the solution of the idealized MCT equations can be expanded around the nonergodicity parameter fc at Tc and some generic laws can be derived. These leading-order results establish the so-called asymptotic laws of MCT, which can be regarded as generic features of the MCT dynamics at T > Tc. Because almost all experimental tests analyzed the susceptibility spectra in this frame, we are going to briefly summarize the laws [16,17,19]. Examples of tests against experiment are found in Section IV.E. 

This is none other than the time-temperature superposition principle. However, the exact shape of the function F(t) is not a generic feature of the theory. A good approximation is provided by the Kohlrausch stretched exponential function. In the frequency domain, Eqs.
