Ge CH3 3R Compounds with R Larger than Butyl

5 Ge(CH3)3R Compounds with R Larger than Butyl Ge(CH3)3C5Hii [Pg.192]

This compound has been prepared from Ge(C5Hn)Cl3 and CH3MgCl. Its vapor pressure follows the equation log (p/Torr) = 7.14637-1575.771/(t + 217.64) for the range 30 to 150°C based on the experimental values below  [Pg.192]

This gives a boiling point of 151.78°C at 760Torr and the enthalpy of evaporation AH, = 9.54 kcal/mol under normal conditions [2]. [Pg.192]

This compound has been obtained by the addition of Ge(CH3)3H to C4H9CH=CH2 in with (Pt(Ge(CH3)3)([x-H)P(C6Hii)3)2 as a catalyst (80% yield) [3,4]. It has also been formed from C4H9CH=CH2 and Ge(CH3)3 radicals (by photolysis of Hg(Ge(CH3)3)2) at 40°C (14% yield), along with Ge2(CH3)6 (15%) and other organic products [1]. [Pg.192]
