Gas Feed Directly into the Water Flow

It is common to feed pure compressed gases such as chlorine, oxygen, sulfur dioxide, anhydrous ammonia, and carbon dioxide directly into the water flow. The following calculators are used to determine the feeder setting and daily use for this feed situation. Table 4-2 is used for conversions from Ib/day or g/hr to Ib/hr, g/day, or kg/day. [Pg.39]

Example 4-1 A water flow of 2 mgd is treated with a chiorine dosage of 1.5 mg/L. What is the gas chiorinator setting for this situation  [Pg.40]
