Galvano-Static Mode of the Oxygen Pump

The DC transfer through the electrochemical cell (3.3) accompanies the continuous decreasing of the oxygen chemical potential on the metal-electrolyte interface and, consequently, oxygen partial pressure. The equilibrium emf of the electrochemical cell (3.3) will continuously increase in accordance with the Nemst equation.
