Gallium crystalline phases

Metallic liquids can also experience fractional crystallization. The abundances of trace elements such as gold, gallium, germanium, and iridium and the major element nickel in various classes of iron meteorites vary because of the separation of crystalline metal phases (kamacite or taenite). [Pg.213]

The main basic difference between these two wide classes of compounds is described as follows p-diketonate molecules are associated in the condensed phase (crystalline) and, in a number of cases, also in solution, while the pyrazolyl-borates keep themselves as monomers. In addition to boron, ligands 232 and 233 may contain aluminum (E = A1) and gallium (E — Ga) [443-445],... [Pg.65]

The crystallinity and phase purity were examined by XRD. The XRD patterns of all samples resemble those of pentasil-type zeolites with respect to position and intensity of reflexes. No other crystalline by-products could be detected within the experimental accuracy of the method. The narrow peaks and their high intensity reflect the good crystallinity of the samples. The chemical analysis reveals that the amount of gallium present is the same as in the starting synthesis mixture. As not all silica is incorporated into the zeolite the Si/Ga ratio of the samples is finally smaller than that of the recipe. [Pg.110]
