GABAa receptors, activation modulatory sites

Quazepam. Quazepam (Doral) and its active metaiw-lites reportedly are relatively selective for the benzodiaze pine modulatory site on (-1) type I GABAa receptors (i.e. receptors with an ai subunit) and are hypnotic agents. ()ua-zepam is metabolized by oxidation to the 2-oxo compound and then N-dealkylation. Both metabolites are active, the First reportedly is the more potent and selective. Therearier. 3-hydroxylation and glucuronidation occur. [Pg.492]
