Further Elucidation Techniques - Part

The complexity of the whole problem is further increased because the interactions possible in solutions are so varied and so intricate that in most cases their separation and individual study are impossible. In addition, their effects may appear in different ways and to different extents, depending on the method of investigation. The experimental data obtained by the different techniques of examination may therefore possibly lead to mutually contradictory interpretations. Hence, the use of one method of examination is suitable at most for the clarification of parts of problems. On the other hand, each different technique may elucidate or throw new light on further valuable details. Even despite the numerous contradictions, comparison of the data provided by the various methods brings us nearer to an understanding of the overall picture. [Pg.17]
