Of the four fundamental property relations shown in the second column of Table 4-1, only Eq. (4-13) has as its special or canonical variables T, P, and nj. It is therefore the basis for extension to several useful supplementary thermodynamic properties. Indeed an alternative form has been developed as Eq. (4-191). These equations are the first two entries in the upper left quadrant of Table 4-6, which is now to be filled out with important derived relationships.
