Functionally Substituted Bistetraorganotin Compounds

This chapter includes organotin derivatives having two tin atoms linked by a hydrocarbon chain. Heteroatoms like halogen, oxygen, nitrogen and phosphorus may be substituted at or in the chain. The compounds listed in Table 117 are prepared by methods from the following scheme. [Pg.408]

R = organic group, R = functionally substituted organic group, X = halogen, [Pg.408]

By rxn. of (Me3SnC )2 with CsCIq in BusO in inert atm., in 66% yield (1885), in xylene and toluene, in 53 and l6% yield resp. (l883)  [Pg.408]

UV irradiation - 2,3-(Me3Sn)2 l 5 6,7 7 hexachloroquadricyclo[2.2.1.0 heptane (I883), compare structural formula on page 09  [Pg.408]

By UV irradiation of 2,5 (Me3Sn)207Cle (preceeding compound) in EtaO in inert atm. with external cooling, in yield (1885)- [Pg.409]

Listing of functionally substituted bistetraorganotin compounds continues in Table 117. [Pg.409]
