What are the alcohol structures and functional group isomers of diethyl ether, C4H10O or C2H5 O C2H5 ... 

Ethanol and methoxymethane ether are functional group isomers where their structures are ... 

Ketones have a general formula (C H2n+i)2C=0. Propanal and propanone are the first isomers of the carbonyl series to have the same molecular formula CjHeO. They are functional group isomers. (See Unit 6A.)... 

In functional group isomers, different functional groups are used to create different molecules with the same formula. 

Similarly, carboxylic acids and esters having the same number of carbon atoms are also functional group isomers, as are aldehydes and ketones. Geometric isomers, also called cis-trans isomers, differ from one another in the placement of substituents on a double bond or ring. 

Consider the relationship of structure A with each of the structures B, C, D, and E. (Some structures are deliberately drawn in nonstandard representations.) Determine whether A and each of the other structures comprise a pair of identical compounds, positional isomers, functional group isomers, enantiomers, diastereomers, or nonisomeric compounds (i.e., compounds with different molecular formulas).
