Fulcrum effect

To employ fulcrum effect one stabilizer is placed Just above the bit and additional weight is applied to the bit. The configuration acts as a fulcrum forcing the bit to the high side of the hole. The angle of hole deviation increases (buildup) as more weight is applied. 

To employ a restricted fulcrum effect one stabilizer is placed Just above the bit while second stabilizer is placed above the nonmagnetic drill collar. The hookup allows a gradual buildup of inclination with no abrupt changes.

The effectiveness of the lever as a machine depends on two factors the forces applied at each end and the distance of each force from the fulcrum. The farther a person stands from the fulcrum, the more his or her force on the lever is magnified. In other words if we can have a clearer view of real demand in the final marketplace, rather than the distorted picture that more typically is the case, and if we can respond more rapidly, then a more effective matching of supply and demand can be achieved.
