The mass spectra of many alkaloids containing the 6,10b-ethano-phenanthridine (crinane) nucleus have been examined (141). The spectra frequently are quite complex and require high-resolution techniques to better understand the fragmentation patterns. It is particularly significant that both crinamine and 6-hydroxycrinamine have a low abundance of their molecular ions and show a facile loss of methanol. Although the latter elimination occurs also in haemantha-mine and haemanthidine, the molecular ions in these alkaloids are very intense. [Pg.373]

Knowledge Discovery is the main objective in Data Mining and many different technologies have been employed in this context. In the Data Mining Process we frequently need to iterate round the EDA, Data Selection, Knowledge Discovery part of the process, as once we discover some new knowledge, we often then want to go back to the data and look for new or more detailed patterns. [Pg.79]
