In proof of the exterminations in the eastern camps, the orthodox historians can produce only eyewitness testimonies and confessions. which are qualitatively no better than the corresponding, but discredited, testimonies and confessions from the western camps. There is no discernible reason why the confession of Auschwitz commandant Rudolf HoB relating to the gassing of 2.5 million people by November 1943 in Auschwitz alone123 should be any more credible than that of Mauthausen commandant Franz Ziereis relating to the gassing of one to one and a half million people at SchloB Hartheim. 

The fact that the thermal conductivity in a pure metal is dominated by the free electron contribution was Ulustrated in 1853 by Gustav Wiedemann (1826-1899) and Rudolf Franz (1827-1902), who showed that Xei and the electrical conductivity, (Tei, are proportionally related (Wiedemann and Franz, 1853).
