FPL and LVL software modification procedures

NOTE Modification appiies primariiy to changes occurring during the cperationai phase of the software. [Pg.84]

1 The objective of the requirements of this clause is to ensure that the software continues to meet the software safety requirements specification after modifications. [Pg.84]

1 Modifications shall be carried out in accordance with 5.2.6.2.2, 5.2.7 and Clause 17 with the foiiowing additionai requirements. [Pg.84]

Wherever possible, on-line modifications to a safety instrumented system should be avoided. If on-line modifications are required, the complete procedure should be documented and approved according to the safety planning. [Pg.63]

The following process is recommended for all changes to programmable safety instrumented systems  [Pg.63]

A program to modify a programmable safety instrumented system should be managed, planned and resourced to the appropriate level to ensure the safe implementation of the change. [Pg.63]
