Foot dystonia

Foot dystonia, a common symptom of Parkinson s disease, is typically present in the early morning and associated with a dorsiflexion of the hallux, it is generally regarded as an off-period phenomenon. An observation of foot dystonia witii an atypical pattern of appearance in on state is reported [63 ].

B. Off period dystonia in the early morning (i.e., foot cramping)... 

Off-period dystonia, sustained muscle contractions that occur more commonly in distal lower extremity (e.g., foot), occur often in the early morning hours. They may be treated with bedtime administration of sustained-release products, use of baclofen, or selective denervation with botulinum toxin.
