Flow sheet of fertilizer granulation plants utilizing roller presses for compaction

4 Flow sheet of fertilizer granulation plants utilizing roller presses for compaction [Pg.473]

Premixed formulation (1) is fed into a surge (day) bin (2). Recycled material (fines, 17) and dust from the dust-collection system (20) are transported to the bin (18). The latter should be sized such that, in the case of an emergency or unscheduled switchover, the entire hold-up of the plant can be accepted. If a new formulation must be run, the contents of the recycle bin (18) can be dumped via the diverter gate (19). [Pg.474]

The compacted flakes exiting from the roller press (8) are precrushed by the flake breaker (9) and screened (10) to remove fines. Coarse material is [Pg.474]

Elimination of the flake breaker (9). Sometimes the flake or sheet produced in the compactor (8) breaks up easily when the compacted material falls onto a (belt) conveyor or screen and a flake breaker is not required. [Pg.475]
