Flow diagram of the polypropylene vertical reactor gas phase process

The inventors claim that their reactor achieves some degree of plug flow, roughly equivalent to that of two to three stirred tank reactors in series. 

As with the vertical gas phase process, this process was also developed with a second reactor in series for impact copol5uner production. In this case, ethylene is added to the second reactor.
