Flora Zambesiaca (see Chapter 7, Kirkup et al., in this volume). Flora Iranica, which are not markedly encyclopaedic or archival, are plarmed in such a way that they are not completed within a reasonably short timescale . Such striving for scholarly perfection not only slows down Flora writing, but in turn it often renders the finished product inaccessible to conservationists working within the target coimtry.
