Fire hazards and their control

There are many causes of fires but the most common have been identified through the collation of statistics over many years. Control of smoking in 

Arson is the single largest cause of fires in the workplace. Those most likely to commit arson are  

1 people with a grudge against the company or individuals within it  

2 intruders with the intention of destroying evidence of another crime  

3 staff to cover a fraud from which they have gained financially

There are also fire protection specialists. They do not have degrees in engineering or fire protection engineering, but have developed extensive knowledge about fire hazards and their control. The professional membership organization for fire protection engineers and specialists is the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE).
