Until recently, the ferrocene monomers used to prepare oligomeric and polymeric ferrocene peptide-like systems, like l -aminoferrocene-l-carboxylic acid (Fca) 29 and 1,1 -diaminoferrocene 30 were difficult to synthesize and also were not stable. 

In this chapter, we have reviewed ferrocene peptide conjugates with particular emphasis on derivatives that are amenable to polycondensation reactions and cyclization reactions.
