Explosive chemicals fireball generation

The final effect of an explosion is thermal, the generation of heat by the explosion. The amount of heat produced will dep d on the type of material that is involved. There is a flash and a fireball associated with almost any chemical explosion. The more rapid the explosion, the greato the effects that will be produced by the heat. Although the total heat produced may be similar in each explosion, a detonation will produce the most heat over a larger area, because of the speed of the explosion. [Pg.145]
