Evaporators auxiliary equipment

Design of the evaporator, compressor, condenser, and auxiliary equipment requires knowledge of the rate of circulation of refrigerant m. This is determined from the heat absorbed in the evaporatorf by the equation ... [Pg.149]

Much of the accuracy in bomb calorimetry depends upon the care taken in the construction of the auxiliary equipment of the calorimeter, also called the addenda. It must be designed such that the heat flux into or out of the measuring water is at a minimum, and the remaining flux must be amenable to a calibration. In particular, the loss due to evaporation of water must be kept to a minimum, and the energy input from the stirrer must be constant throughout the experiment. With an apparatus such as shown in Fig. 4.30 anyone can reach, with some care, a precision of 1%, but it is possible by most careful bomb calorimetry to reach an accuracy of 0.01%. [Pg.309]

Steam Turbine Compressors driven by steam turbines may offer many advantages. They are more easily adapted to speed control and can be used as a reducing station if backpressure turbines are indicated. The turbine exhaust steam can be condensed In the same evaporator or in auxiliary equipment such as product heaters, final concentrators, etc,... [Pg.192]

Has adequate attention been given to the piping and auxiliary equipment associated with the evaporator ... [Pg.324]

Evaporation, distillation, and extraction processes are carried out in several stages. Even reactions are carried out in several vessels. Since each stage requires its own auxiliary equipment, telescoping the stages could be highly beneficial. Performing all the reactions in one pot followed by isolation is the most ideal situation. Fermentation is an example of this philosophy, where complex products are formed from simple chemicals. [Pg.223]

First, latex polymers had to he optimized for the specific adhesion characteristics required in their primary areas of utility pressure sensitive and contact adhesives. Second, there had to he developed suitable aqueous dispersions of auxiliary ingredients most notable in this category are tackifters. Finally, there has been economic resistance on the part of those who apply the adhesives because of the greater difiiculty in evaporating water compared to organic solvents. Thus, most adhesive manufacturers have found it expedient to install solvent recovery equipment to meet air quality standards. [Pg.301]

Dedeuterization requires the flexible hoses (trailer space), auxiliary evaporator (E cell, -14-foot-elevation), auxiliary evaporator condenser (-14-foot-elevation), amdliaiy evaporator condensate tank (-14-foot-elevation), auxiliary evaporator condensate tarik pump (-14-friot-eievation), and associated piping, instrumentation, and controls to remw opmable. The support systems/equipment listed fiir the HAM system (see Section 2.2.6.1) and the following equipment are required cell crane, 302 roll doors, stack area door, lead removal tool (can opener), and dedwteiization hut... [Pg.60]
