Evaluation of DeNOx Catalysis

Reductive elimination and storage of dilute NOx has been an important technology to achieve cleaner exhaust gas from engines. At present, Pt, Pd and Rh are often used for the so-called three-way catalyst. The demand for a high-performance DeNOx catalyst with low cost and non-harmful materials is growing as the environmental issues expand worldwide. 

The compositions of tested catalysts were determined by mixing 10 elements, Fe, Co, Cr, Cu, Ni, Mn, Ni, Zn, La and Pb, with the ratio at random. By using the high-throughput apparatus, four suitable catalyst compositions were found for the reducing condition and three for the oxidizing condition among 77 catalysts.
