Evaluating success using alternative

Evaluation of Phytoremediation Success Using Alternative Endpoints... [Pg.160]

NIR can also play an important role in phytoanalysis. There are some reports on the use of NIR for the quantitative analysis of water content, residual solvents of dry extracts, as well as for the analysis of constituents. It has been used in the analysis of polyphenols (wine, soy) and a quantitative NIR reflectance spectroscopy method was established for the determination of two major constituents of St John s wort (hyperforin and biapigenin) using HPLC as reference method. It was also successfully used for the rapid evaluation and quantitative analysis of essential oils using GC as reference method. It can be considered a rapid and highly effective alternative method to conventional quantitative analysis of plant extracts. [Pg.3657]

Entering any subsidy scheme should be handled carefully macroeconomic models should be used to simulate outcomes and to evaluate benefits from alternative investments. Each government should be aware that entering a subsidy scheme is difficult and requires many regulations to ensure its success. Hence, reliance on subsidies should be minimal. [Pg.603]

The suggested method is appropriately implemented at the practice. The cost and working hours of unit measurement of it is less than of any alternative method of destructive test and with respect to the authenticity inspection of Stress-Deformation the given method is inferior only to destructive testing. The method was successfully implemented while evaluation of service life of main pipe-lines sections and pressure vessels as well. Data of method and instrument are used as official data equally with ultrasonic, radiation, magnetic particles methods, adding them by the previously non available information about " fatigue " metalwork structure. [Pg.29]
