Euro+Med PlantBase

Sisyphus and finally Euro+Med PlantBase . International meetings were held in Palermo, June 1997, and Seville, June 1998, which resulted in a successful application for funding to the European Union Commission, Eramework V, in June 1999. Euro+Med PlantBase was funded for 3 years from 1999. 

As of August 2013, Euro+Med PlantBase provides access to information on 154 plant families, corresponding to 91% of the European flora of vascular plants.
