This book is a real treasure of information and ideas for research in the field of ethno-psychopharmacology. I think it should be welcomed by clinicians and by researchers in psychiatry and psychopharmacology in all regions of the world. It is unique in the current scientific literature, and is likely to remain as such for many years. 

Without question, research efforts in the field of ethnopsycho-pharmacology have been promising however, more attention and further study are required. The data presented from our ethno-psychopharmacological studies are evidence of the current trend of focusing not only on traditional antidepressant agents (TCAs) and typical neuroleptics but also on selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressants and atypical neuroleptics or antipsychotics.
