Ethers and Sulfur Derivatives

Up-to-date structural data on simple alkoxy and alkylthio cyclopropanes are scarcely available. 

The ring bonds in a cyclopropanol derivative178 (113) are equal within uncertainties, and the C—O bond is 1.407 (8) A. The OH hydrogen was not located. According to ab initio calculations, the OH substituent prefers the ac orientation88, and this has been found in cyclopropanol, x = 106 (5)°, from MW spectra179.
