Environmental fate and ecotoxicological effects of glycol ethers

3 ENVIRONMENTAL FATE AND ECOTOXICOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF GLYCOL ETHERS [Pg.1169]

James Devillers CTIS, Rillieux La Pape, France Aurelie Chezeau, Andre Cicolella, and Eric Thybaud INERIS, Verneuil-en-Halatte, France [Pg.1169]

Under these conditions, the aim of this chapter is to review the available literature on the occurrence, environmental fate, and ecotoxicity of glycol ethers. [Pg.1170]

In air samples collected in the pine forest area of Storkow (30 km south east of Berlin, Germany), the Mediterranean Macchia of Castel Porziano (Italy), and the Italian station located at the foot of Everest (Nepal), GC-MS analysis showed concentrations of ethylene glycol monobutyl ether of 1.25, 0.40, and 0.10 to 1.59 p,g/m, respectively.  [Pg.1170]
