Enthalpies of organic compounds

The tabulated heats of reaction and heats of formation update the tables of Cox and Pilcher. Introductory chapters discuss additivity schemes and develop a complex component additivity formalism for predicting enthalpies of organic compounds. 

Repertoires of heats of vaporization and methods for their estimation by group additivity have been collected Chickos, J. S. Hesse, D. G. Liebman, J. F. Estimating vaporization enthalpies of organic compounds with single and multiple substitution, J. Org. Chem. 1989, 54, 5250-5256. Corrections for temperature variation can be carried out by the approximate relationship — ACp(vap-liq) = 10.58 -I- 0.26 Cp(liq,298K) (ref. [7], Chapter 7).
