Beiner et al. tested the collecting capacity of several metal compounds for some volatile sulfur substances. They noted high enrichment rates and good selectivity for silver sulfide. It was used in combination with membrane extraction, thermodesorption, and GC-MS to analyze sulfides, thiols, and tetrahydrothiophene from water samples. Detection limits down to the lower ng/1 range were achieved. The disadvantages of the method are the experimental equipment, the long analysis times, and displacement reactions between the matrix and analytes on the sorbent s surface.

The similar MM-GBSA approach has been shown to improve early enrichment rates in the virtual screening of large compound databases [66[. Again, the authors applied only simple energy minimization using the OPLS-AA force field [73] with the generalized Born implicit solvent model. 

Furnace, Converter and Anode Furnace. Investigation results showed that direct enrichment rates of Au in these production processes were 90.03%, 95.47% and 92.01% respectively, and that direct enrichment rates of Ag in these production processes were 82.52%, 93.5% and 94.95% respectively. In flash smelting process, carryover of Au Ag into dust were 9.62% and 12.29% respectively. Lan Lin studied movement and distribution of Au Ag in ISP process, and noticed carryover of Ag in dust at 5.07 %. 

MRS has also been used to assess enzyme capacities and kinetics in animals. Following infusion of [l- C]butyrate (90% enriched), rates of ketogenesis could be monitored by measuring the formation of acetoacetate and P-hydroxybutyrate...
